President Donald Trump signed a repeal of 78 executive orders repealing Biden-era initiatives in front of a raucous crowd at the Capital One Arena. Among the orders were a withdrawal from the Paris Climate agreement, a directive to every department to address inflation, an action to call federal workers back to the office and an order restoring “freedom of speech and preventing government censorship of free speech going forward.”Source: Bloomberg

European politicians bristled as President Donald Trump announced the world’s wealthiest nation would pull out of the landmark Paris Agreement to combat climate change along with a sweeping overhaul of the US energy landscape.

Trump said in an executive order on Monday that the US would formally withdraw from the Paris Agreement under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. The accord aims to keep global warming below 2 degrees celsius above pre-industrial levels.
