Exxon Mobil Corp. has invested $16 billion in projects in which it is a partner with Qatar Petroleum, Al Watan said, citing Alex Dodds, president and general manager of ExxonMobil Qatar.

The projects include 12 production trains, or units, for liquefied natural gas in Qatar and three LNG terminals in Britain, Italy and the U.S., the newspaper reported. ExxonMobil Qatar continues to export LNG from Qatar to Japan after the March 11 earthquake and tsunami, the report said.
