Germany Looks to Plug Gaps in Defenses If US Drops Missile Plan

Germany is assessing how to fill a potential defense gap if the US scales back missile deployments in Europe, warning it could weaken NATO’s deterrence against Russia.

Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said Monday that any US decision to alter or reverse long-range missile deployment plans in Germany would pose a challenge for Europe.
